HighSight Scholars participate in a variety of activities throughout their summers. They include: an intensive writing course, college knowledge workshops, leadership and personal development. Also offered are independent summer programs such as college seminars or international travel to places like France, Ghana, China, Thailand and Paraguay.
Freshman Summer Program
Incoming freshman scholars take part in an intense, five-week academic program that emphasizes reading, math, writing and study skills. The program culminates with Freshman Week, where students work on team-building and leadership development.
Sophomore Summer Program
This summer experience is designed to assist students in making a positive transition to their second year of high school. Students focus in writing and character development while reading books on setting goals and planning for college.
Independent Summer Program
All of our rising fourth year students get to participate in an independent summer program. These include discovery and enrichment on college campuses, at elite boarding schools, and with international travel to nations around the world.
Summer Leadership Program
During this 10-session program, scholars focus on building self-confidence, improving leadership skills and enhancing their communication skills. The course starts with a two-day seminar at HighSight.
